Engine
While compact cars often have a small engine that doesn't offer much power, the new Jetta is different. It features a direct-injection 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. Volkswagen also offers an optional 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which produces 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
Choose the six-speed manual transmission or the eight-speed automatic transmission that VW offers for the new Jetta to get the driving experience you want. The new Jetta also gets good fuel efficiency due to its small size. With the 1.5-liter engine and manual transmission, you'll drive up to 41 mpg on the highway. The 2.0-liter engine drives up to 37 mpg on the highway with either transmission. If you pair the 1.5-liter engine with the automatic transmission, you can travel up to 42 mpg on the highway.
Interior
The digital cockpit is just one of the interior features you'll like on the new Jetta.
