The latest VW Tiguan got some styling updates that made it even more stylish. There are updated bumpers and a revised grille. The new wheels give Tiguan a more up-to-date appearance.
On all except the base S model, you get standard adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. There's also Travel Assist which is the VW semi-autonomous driving mode.
Exciting Driving Experience
Under the hood, there's a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It's paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that provides a refined ride and changes gears smoothly. The powertrain has a power output of 184 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. It's front-wheel-drive standard with the popular 4Motion all-wheel-drive configuration available too on all but the three-row models.

A Roomy Upscale Cabin
The interior of the 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan is visually appealing and can seat up to seven. There are changes since the 2021 models aside from the 8.0-inch digital gauge cluster you get in all trims except for the SEL R-Line. That model gets a 10.3-inch version for an enhanced experience. The SEL R-Line also gets ventilated seats.
The front seats are heated and highly comfortable for running errands or long road trips. The driver's seat offers a nice position for a good view. There's a new steering wheel and the buttons are gone. There's a new touch interface for the climate control system. The top trims offer a new brown leatherette upholstery color.
The infotainment system looks sharp and is quick to respond. You get Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® standard for even more convenience. You'll also have Wi-Fi hotspot capability standard, and you can pick up an available 480-watt nine-speaker Fender audio system.
Great Safety Features
As you'd expect from a great VW SUV, the new Tiguan is equipped with several great safety features including automated emergency braking with forward collision warning. Adaptive cruise control paired with the semi-autonomous driving mode is also available along with lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist.
